Kate Moross' latest shirts

Ms Moross is a 21-year-old Londoner on a meteoric rise to riches, fame and acclaim and she's just released a new range of T-shirts online.

Even though she has yet to graduate - she'll be finished her BA in Graphic Design at Camberwell College of Art in June 2008 - this prolific woman has already designed a signature range for Topshop, worked for Cadbury's, Sony as well as loads of bands, set up a record company (Isomorph), designed a cap for New Era, is editing and publishing books and is currently on tour with heartsrevolution in charge of live visuals. And that's just some of her major projects.

Hailing from Highgate in north London, Kate did a Foundation course at Wimbledon before undertaking her BA at Camberwell and is now a converted South Londoner living in Peckham. "Topshop rang me up about four months ago and asked me if I'd like to do a signature range," explains Kate. "Everything is on jersey and printed in the UK. The way I work is pretty organic, I didn't set out with a fixed idea in mind, I just draw." There are eight pieces in the range and Kate stresses that this was a "collaboration with the Topshop brand team, I concentrated on the print and they helped with shapes etc as I am not personally the best advert for women's fashion!" This is refers to her own obsession with trainers (photos of some of her vast collection are on her website) and streety clobber. The Topshop designs mix astrophysics and physics with some surreal references to achieve a sort of psychedelic modernism. Kate spent two days in the window as a live art installation to launch the range at the end of January, "I really was painting from 9-9 for two days solid," she says. There are eight designs in all, including a dress, vest and sweatshirts priced £20-£30.

On February 6 Kate's unisex range of new T-shirts went on sale online. There are 3 styles, two foil prints and one plain, each limited to 100 and priced £25-£30. She's heading back to Topshop Oxford Circus on February 15 and 16 from 1pm-6pm to create live customisations, drawing on shoes and bags. "They'll be little kits there, so people can come along and join in." Kate's website is testimony to the fun you can have drawing on her possessions: "I have things, they get boring, so I draw on them," she states. After graduation Kate is heading to New York and will be publishing two books later this year. How many people are there working behind-the-scenes we asked. "No one. There's just me and my accountant." Kate Moross is a phenomenal force and possibly the only person on the planet who could make Gordon Ramsay look lazy.

How is it that 2 days after those tshirts went on sale, they are sold out?! I want one Sad

Would've prefered the black on white design...but had to settle for the foil on white instead, still looks sweet though.

Isn't "meteoric rise" a strange phrase ?
Meteors fall down from the sky not rise up into it.

Ordered a t-shirt Smiling

got mine, and a nice little hand written note from Kate as well Cool
