Simon Henwood launches Censorship is Like Racism with Roisin, Jodie and Pony Step
Censorship Is Like Racism.
Artist Simon Henwood is hosting a compelling launch for his book, Censorship Is Like Racism, with fashion icons Roisin Murphy and Jodie Harsh behind the decks and former Boombox boy Richard Mortimer lending a hand by way of his online art venture, Pony Step.
The launch will take place at Vanilla nightclub in central London on March 31st. Simon Henwood is known for his thought-provoking art works which often explore childhood memories and adolescence but art is only one of Simon's areas of expertise. Since graduating from Exeter in 1986, he has garnered a prolific career which spans painting, directing videos, creating children's books, developing a toy, writing and artistically collaborating with Roisin Murphy and recently Kanye West.
His works are not for the faint hearted but Censorship Is Like Racism's portrayal of a Disney Golly and Henwood's spooky vision of a male Kylie are impactful and relevant.
