Videocast: The Subway Gallery
On Friday 26 January, Selene and I met a Canadian artist based in London, Robert Gordon McHarg III, the creator of the Subway Gallery. At first I thought the name was made-up - a bit of artistic licence like, but no. Robert Gordon McHarg is the genuine article and his Subway Gallery is one of the best things I've come across so far in 2007. Situated in the pedestrian by-pass that takes you from the Edgware Road to the Harrow Road, the artist has taken a 60s kiosk that used to house a key cutters/shoe repair shop and turned it into an art gallery.
