Buy me a wig plweease Aunty Karen?

What do you do when your 5 year old nephew asks you on the telephone to buy him a pink wig and post it to him so he can wear it on the train while he travels to visit you in London? Lost for words I was! Even though I know he has a very creative side and preference for pink that doesn’t seem to be a phase. Just finishing the London Fashion week round I was looking forward to a rest from fashion, Forget it not with my nephew, he loves clothes as much as I do. So he visits and won’t let the pink wig go. Remembering an afro Caribbean wig / hair extension shop in Hackney near my house I think we could be in luck. No luck all very dowdy both my nephew and I agree. Still not letting it go and now not wanting the whole visit to be about hunting for a pink wig. We have got to do the palace and river yet! I remember Hamleys has a dressing up department. So I ask a chirpy girl on the front door which floor for the dress up clothes. For boys she asks and girls I reply. The 4th floor for boys she informs and for girls? I ask 3rd floor. Bingo we find the perfect wig and I find out pink means red / ginger just like Aunty Karen. He is itching to get that wig on during our morning site seeing tour. We finally give in during lunch at St James Park and he is happy as Larry in wig and my sunglasses. Then its wig back in the bag ready to come out when we get home and he asks me to do the wig like Dorothy in the wizard of Oz please Aunty Karen. We in the Savage family encourage and welcome difference, if needed in its varied forms, just take one look at me so I suppose he is in good hands!

For great wigs – coming up to Halloween for all boys and girls, big and little

Karen what's he going to want for Christmas? Methinks shoes. Very shiny or glittery shoes. That wig website has got scary clown faces on it - clowns are so wrong had to close the window sharpish.

methinks your right about the shoes. Arhh I love clowns, feel sorry for them. Great site for dressing up stuff used by stylists, hens and stags !
