LFW and being in love with clothes!

During last London Fashion Week most of the fun for me was dusting down my favourite clothing pieces and I mean dusting down! As most items in my wardrobe have been in my possession for more than a few years. If it’s a new purchase and by that I mean a year or two, then we usually have a long loving stylistic relationship and go out for many years to come. If not its straight back to the Charity Shop – no unnecessary hording on my clothing rails, yeah right, keep kidding ya self girl.

About 90% of my clothes are charity shop, vintage or design bargains. The other 10% underwear, swimwear and yogi clothes. If you gave me 50 quid for an outfit I would still come back with change, I can’t help myself with le bargaining! In this blog I have documented the outfits worn last London Fashion Week in Sep 07. Sharing where I bought, how much and how long I have loved and owned them.

I don’t feel I strictly follow or do “The fashion” but I do appreciate great ideas and what’s being designed and made today. Also with one eye on what I may find in the charity shop ten or twenty years down the line. I love to do a look creating or interpreting what’s on the catwalk using charity and vintage. Fashion has always been a big dress up game for me. Ever since I put a cute kilt over a pair of trousers for primary school as my new uniform, so let’s get showing and telling.
