Horace's collection was really well received - menswear and womenswear in a muted palette of mainly black, lots of loose crochet knits, hoodies and scarves adorned with skulls. We do not have Unconditional showing this season, a massive shame, so Horace may go some way to fill that edgy gap. Had a chat with Adam with along with partner Emma designs the collection. Although this was only their second LFW showing they have been producing and selling the collection since 2001. Adam was very excited about their new Brixton studio and at how well the label is selling. With a great grounding working for Buddhist Punk, Adam is a seasoned designer who has great enthusiasm.

Karen Brost gave a salon style showing last season but made her catwalk debut at Vauxhall Fashion Scout today. The show was expertly styled by Rebekah Roy. Karen has had two businesses in New York and moved here a couple of years ago to be with her British boyfriend. Entitled 'Regal on the Riveria' her womenswear collection features string prints, wide legged pants and fabulous swing coats. All her garments are made in Italy and with backstage preview I can attest to the fantastic finishing and cuts. She's already established an impressive clientele and her approach is to infuse classics with modernity and add some rock and roll. The result is beautifully made, tailored to temptation clothes. Karen Brost London has all the ingredients of a great label.
