Junky Styling Book Launched
JUnky Styling, the book.
Two of the UK's pioneers in recycled and ethical fashion are about to launch their first book detailing their experiences this August. Junky Styling started as a hobby project set-up by two friends, Annika and Kerry. First off they started buying up secondhand suits from London charity shops and rebuilt them into outfits which they wore out clubbing. This led to the pair setting up their own stall in Kensington Market and then launching their label based in Brick Lane in 1997. They have since become two of the most established names on the UK sustainable fashion scene.
Annika Sanders and Kerry Seager's 'Junky Styling: Wardrobe Surgery' is published by A&C Black will hit the shelves in a couple of months priced £19.99 but is available to pre-order. The book not only details the thinking behind their label, but also details ways in which you can explore and exploit your existing clothing collection to create innovative new looks. It's a 'waste not want not' approach to personal styling made accessible for all.
