Threads Design A T-Shirt Competition

Sorry folk, we are postponing this for the time being because we need to do more work our end to ensure this competition works smoothly and is worthy of our lovely community. Once we have done all that is necessary on the technical and production fronts, we will re-launch. Huge thanks for all the contributions so far.

Marian Buckley, fuk.co.uk editor.

++ Clothe your community, design a one-off fuk.co.uk T-shirt ++

We are chuffed to announce the launch of the first ever fuk.co.uk Threads T-shirt design competition.

fuk.co.uk has teamed-up with the leading UK manufacture and retailer of bamboo clothing, BAM. This company has spent the last two years establishing an ethical supply chain and high quality manufacturing process for bamboo. Bamboo is naturally sustainable, grows without any pesticides and has natural anti-bacterial properties. In the not so distant future, bamboo is set to become the natural choice for sleepwear, bed linen and towels. It is currently being used by a handful of UK designers (including Silver Spoon attire and Nicola de Main) and it is softer than organic and non organic cotton.

So, all you graphic aces get cracking with your designs - we will post up submission details here shortly. Once we have received entries, all registered visitors can vote for their favourite design. The winning design will be then be available to order for a very limited time - for this first competition, you will have just 10 days in which to order. The T-shirts will then literally be printed-to-order and delivered to customers shortly after the winner has been announced.

You will be able to submit your designs from now.
The first Community T-shirt design competition will close on Monday 14th January 2008.
Voting takes place from Tuesday 15th January until 12noon on Tuesday 22nd January 2008.
