Carnaby Street, with its rich fashion heritage, is the ideal setting for a brand new endeavour from London College of Fashion, 'Occupying Spaces: The White Dress Project'. Put together by MA Fashion Curation students, and directed by Amy de la Haye and Judith Clark, the exhibition features a number of identical white dresses, each individually styled and put on show to interact with the gallery space. The aim of the project is to present garments in new and diverse ways so you’ll find an upside-down dress, a silhouette of a dress and even a dress you can choose to walk over – nothing more fun than audience participation! And keeping with that theme, there’s also an opportunity to design your own white dress and clip it to a wall, becoming part of the exhibit yourself and even, most satisfyingly, a blank canvas dress with the words ‘comments please’ written above it, inviting all to have a scribble.

The White Dress Project runs seven days a week until 23rd April at 65 – 67 Broadwick Street.
