Betty Jackson fuk@lfw a/w 07

For those out there in any doubt as to the fuk team's dedication to bringing you fashion from the front line all we can say it's a shame there's no photographic evidence of certain members of our team practically crowd surfing through the door to the Betty Jackson show (such was the crush to get in) and then hanging by one hand from a railing (the other hand was busy taking notes) in order to see over the heads of the audience.

From what we did see we can tell you that the models had cute hair tied up in little top-knots which suited the somewhat school uniformish appearance of the first few outfits. Silhouettes are long and lean on this opening series of entirely black pieces that range from mannish trousers to ankle-length pinafore dresses. As the collection moved to a brighter point on the colour spectrum out came cropped, wide legged trousers paired with teal shirts, coral jumpers (sporting some of the most extravagant necklines of the week) and pretty satin shift dresses in a range of browns including sandy, chocolate and mahogany. Set off by superb flat-soled ankle boots and the odd extravagantly sculpted belt this was, all in all pretty, wearable and really rather cute.
