Lets get Jens Laugesen's colour scheme out of the way first. Some clothes were black. And some where white. That leaves us with around 180 words to write about the rest of the collection which, fortunately shouldn't be too difficult.

This collection is the first in a new design trilogy called Interior, after the work of the Danish neo-classical painter Wilhelm Hammershoj who painted portraits showing the backs of 19th century ladies in their apartments. It was, said Laugesen, a reflection of his roots.

Simple in colour it may have been, but the lack of distraction just emphasised a series of lovely shapes in and luxurious fabrics including wool, cashmere, silk and cotton. Key among these are high-waisted, bell-shaped skirts, shiny black jhodpurs and strapless dresses that are all floor-sweeping volumes of fabric at the front and saucy, corset-backed mini numbers at the back. Classic dress details are fused with more modern elements such as raw-cut collars on tuxedo shirts and, according to the show notes, 'techno wool is glazed in paper-thin kangaroo leather', and no, we don't think that's a typo.

Our favourite? The rock 'n' roll T-shirt evening dresses complete with little frills. Simple, but very effective.
