Sinha-Stanic fuk@lfw a/w 07

If you're 18, female (or a tranny) and blessed with a body to make grown men weep then this season's trend for body-con clothes will be right up your street. If you're, well, the rest of us, you'd better stop eating now because according to Sinha-Stanic for A/W07 less is definitely more, no matter how cold it gets.

Taking their inspiration from Samurai armour, Sinha-Stanic have taken the colours (dull bronze, copper and old gold) and textures of traditional Japanese lacquer work and combined them with specially commissioned couture fabrics to create an eye-catching collection. On skin-skimming pieces - cashmere polo necks, narrow cigarette pants, and tailored pencil skirts – detail has been kept to a minimum in the form of jetted pockets, discrete collars and invisible fastenings.

Mini-dresses are cut with panels to accentuate the body and signature cocoon coats and bolero jackets are freshened up with kimono detailing. Metallic geometric leather motifs, appliqué and panels of Swarovski crystals echo the laminates that decorated the wealthy Shogun warriors.
