Being fashionably late is par for the course during LFW and the over-running of a day's worth of shows took its toll on the audience numbers at Customers Own Property. To say this was a shame would be an understatement as many missed what was possibly the most exciting off-schedule show of the day.
Tight, considered and flattering, the collection took its inspiration from the unsung heroes of the service industry and the result was a range of overalls, pinnies and boiler suits which had been transformed into seriously desirable pieces.

Details which would be practical on ordinary workwear are here rendered attractively decorative - collars draped as necklaces, button-front flies on knee-length leggings and piping trims sprinkled throughout. What at first glance appeared to be floral prints revealed themselves on closer inspection to be illustrated Swiss army knives and with shirt vents slit open to reveal backs and pockets on sharply tailored shorts cut deep and long, the result was foxy rather than functional.

And it wasn't just the girls that were looking good. Strong menswear - skinny jeans, slim fitting jackets and fine dog-tooth check shirt and trouser combos - demonstrated designer Sabine Brauninger's versatility and pattern cutting skills.
