Thu, 22/09/2005 - 2:15pm BFC Tents, Natural History Museum SW7 Eugenia is the title of this collection and from the look of the clothes Eugenia is a woman with a darker side. According to the press release, this was to be a mixture of decadence and debutante, and on this occasion, the info wasn't far off the mark. To the sound of howling wolves, out came a collection in which pale pinks, white and black dominated. Fluffy pink petticoats supported black skirts and details came in the form of translucent cottons, velour trims and magnified broderie anglaise. Short tiered sundresses and baby dolls afforded cheeky glimpses of the models' silk lingerie which, covered with polka dots and playful housewife prints, had been designed by Tabooboo in collaboration with PPQ's Amy Molyneux. The men, for whom pink seems to be a big colour this season, have narrow white trousers and a rose-coloured cardi and shirt combo, the latter with very large, button-down collars. Particularly cute was a little hot-pant romper suit - though this is probably best left to those for whom cellulite has not yet become an issue - and a gorgeous Edwardian-style blouse with a ruffled front panel and tiny round black buttons.
