Ronit Zilkha helpfully divided her collection into easy-to-digest sections, each with its own mood and look. Poppyfield includes structured jackets, tailored trousers and neat pleated skirts in poppy red, ecru and poppyseed coloured silks, chiffons, cotton voiles and silk cashmere. Stripes, checks, flowers and polka dots all show up..

Garland had a softer, vintage feel with heavier brocades, tulles and linens in shades of blush, sage and raven black. Ruffles dominate adding a girlie twist to fluid lines.

Blue Dog is, appropriately enough, a denim capsule collection of mini skirts, cuff jeans and slim-fitting military jackets. Zilkha's trademark crepe dresses bore blue dog and lime and chocolate frog prints.

Pencil skirts, fitted summer dresses, short-sleeved shirts and jackets with 50s detailing comprised the bulk of the 'Summer Vacation' section while eveningwear in satins and an exquisite platinum linen made up 'Like a Painting'.

The finishing touches came with jute belts, poppy scarves, oversized necklaces and delicate metallic bags. Those who didn't catch the show were able to check it out the following day at a special screening at the Truly British event in Harrods Georgian Tearooms.
