With little deviation from what works best for them and their market Gharani Strok showed an attractive collection that was full to bursting with floaty feminine garments.

Faded lemon and lavender silks edged with bright ice cream sorbet shades of apple, mint and watermelon were cut into strapless dresses with gathered hems and metallic trims. Also out on force were silk shirts, wide-legged trousers and cute empire-line dresses with dainty short sleeves and pretty prints. Footwear was limited to simple, flat strappy sandal in gold, and very cute they were too.

In fact, the only thing to mar the idyll of this ladylike show was the step at the entrance to the ramp which had the unfortunate effect of causing several models to trip more than lightly into view. One unfortunate young lady went the whole hog landing flat on her face in the laps of the startled front row.

So far, so fun but it was backstage that the really juicy stuff was happening. Here, for our viewing pleasure was a blur of tattoos, an eight foot Lily Cole surrounded by minions, and lots of bare bottoms. There was also a great smoothie bar and some jolly nice pizza slices. Tasty all round.
