London Fashion Week A/W 2007

We at fuk.co.uk would like to wish all the designers, PRs, press and buyers a very Happy London Fashion Week autumn/winter 07.

There is, as usual, a full-on week of shows being held across a variety of venues: the main on-schedule shows take place at the BFC Tents at the Natural History Museum in Kensington; Vauxhall Fashion Scout is back around the corner (thankfully within walking distance of the tents) at Baden Powell House and this season as well as supporting upcoming designers with subsidised catwalks, there will also be films on show. Just off Savile Row there will be a series of shows at On/Off's venue, the now fully-repaired Royal Academy which was unavailable last season due to fire and we have new a venue for Topshop shows which last season were slap bang in the middle of Holland Park. This season they are showing at the Piazza in Covent Garden. As well as these locations, there are also shows in nightclubs, art galleries and shops, spread across the whole city.

While others may bemoan the apparent disorganisation and disparate scattering of the schedules, we celebrate it. London Fashion Week is a challenge and we are delighted to rise to it - it's this mixture of seeking out and uncertainty that you will make it to venues in time which gets our adrenalin pumping.

Our team includes our dedicated snapper on a scooter, David Jones. If you are attending the shows watch out for David and don't be shy, say hello if you spot him in the midst of the pit or zipping from one show to the next - he's the only LFW photographer who rides around on a Vespa with a ladder attached to his back. We also welcome the return of a very talented fashion writer, Maia Adams, who sensibly will be transporting herself from south London to the shows each day on a bicycle (customised with fuk.co.uk stickers of course), the unflappable Selene Pearson will be writing reports and assisting in all aspects of our videos and we are also delighted to be working with Mr Ian Gillett, a fine photographer.

We are disappointed not to be seeing Aganovich this season - good luck Nana, hope to see you next season - but delighted to be witnessing the LFW debut of Fashion Fringe winner Gavin Douglas, as well as debuts by ethical label Wildlife Works UK and menswear designer Carolyn Massey.
