Ashish

Fighting on the fashion frontline this season is Ashish, who’s gone army barmy. Last season it was dogtooth and Argyll reworked in sequins, this season it’s a camouflage bonanza with slinky, sparkly evening dresses joining forces with baseball caps and urban parkas. Tatty Devine was on hand to provide some Perspex – ‘A’ crest medallions and aviator necklaces double as badges of honour for Ashish’s battalion.

Peeling your eyes away from all the shiny sparkle is a tall order but we were pretty impressed by the prints. Dice, genie lamps and handprints all make an appearance but a strange and slightly sinister blue eye print was our favourite – a bit of George Orwell chic.

Ashish’s mega, high-octane glamour works so well when he infuses it with a casual streak: sparkling tassels on tracksuits, plaid shirts paired with shimmering biker waistcoats and a fringed cropped vest rocked with Daisy Dukes. Part man, part magpie, Private Ashish seems to be on a special mission to introduce the sequin to our casual clothes, and we’re certainly standing to attention.
