Georgina Harley-Smith

Set in a club, Georgina Harley-Smith's third LFW showing was an intimate affair where guests sat on leather arm chairs. Inspired by Port Maria, a town in Jamaica, the collection mixes vibrant colours ranging from deep sea turquoise to lime green.

Tight-fitted skirts are made from hand-pressed Lycra, there's a signature Celtic-inspired print which appears throughout alongside a loud kaleidoscopic digital print which the designer calls her 'Rasta' print. Hessian is used to create a full skirt, figure-hugging sleeveless dresses feature cut-out details and a series of sheer blouses are have tie detail sleeves. The strongest pieces show Georgina's ability to work leather into garments: she has created a stunning panelled coat and dresses with synched leather belts. Movement is a key factor in Georgina's designs - her fabrics mould to the body and allow the wearer to dance and move freely.

Despite there being many gems here, the collection wasn't shown at its best. The absence of lighting and the sheer lack of production resulted in a stilted, stop-start affair.
