Luella Bartley wins Designer of the Year
Another annual round of British Fashion Awards sees a plethora of design talent being recognised with the prestigious title of Designer of Year going to Luella Bartley. Matthew Williamson scoops Red Carpet Designer of The Year and a new category, Bespoke, went to tailor Richard James.
Other winners include shoe designers Nicolas Kirkwood - winner of the Swarovski Emerging Talent Award - and Rupert Sanderson who won Accessory Designer of the Year. Burberry's Christopher Bailey was awarded Menswear Designer of the Year for the second year running. Knitwear designer Louise Goldin also won a Swarovski Emerging Talent Award and the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator has gone to acclaimed fashion photographer Tim Walker.
