Tree treats for your feet

Whatever else you wear this summer, you can at least ensure your feet are cool by wearing wood. Cork wedge heeled sandals are everywhere and while Mui Mui's are gorgeous, there are lots of other less expensive options including Trippen's aerodynamic collection which were shown in a Berlin art gallery, and Scholl's classic exercise sandals. High street shoe chains like Dolcis, Faith, Shellys and Office are all well stocked-up on wood, but if you are looking for something more exclusive, check out German-based Fusaro which has a selection of hand-carved wooden sandals (for about €140). For maximum effect, wear them with a maxi dress and a headscarf.
