Yellow bracelet boys
Lance Armstrong's Live Long campaign
If you are not yet one of the many men in the UK currently sporting a yellow bracelet in support of Lance Armstrong Foundation's cancer awareness campaign, you may be find it difficult to get hold of one and participate in this unlikely charity trend. Launched as a joint LAF/Nike initiative earlier this year, Wear Yellow has been so successful that the makers can't quite keep up with the demand for these silicone bracelets. London's Niketown long since sold out and unfortunately has no plans to re-stock which means at least at three week wait for delivery via the LAF website. The minimum order is 10 at $1 each and some days there have been in excess of 150,000 sales. "The colour yellow stands for hope and courage and inspiration and that's why I'm never taking my wristband off," says champion cyclist and cancer survivor, Lance. If you can't wait for shipment from the US via the website, then check out some of the UK vendors on eBay: there's one selling them at £3 each.
