Fashion Week parties

After-show bashes and beyond

As well as five days of catwalk action, visitors to London Fashion Week are spolit for choice when it comes to parties. Fashionistas must choose wisely, and in advance - trying to get to every party (like every catwalk show) is a recipe for disaster.

The first - and what could turn out to be the best - is Sunday's Antipodium Fashion Week Opening Party with music by Chicks on Speed's Alex Murray-Leslie and an exhibition of overalls by Jeremy Scott.
On Monday, Weardowney's groovy pub-turned-boutique off Lisson Grove is the venue for Amy and Gail's after show do which, if their last gathering is anything to by, will attract an eclectic crowd of beautiful people.

Tuesday's VIP bash is in the grand surroundings of the Royal Academy Burlington Gardens and hosted by On|Off. Last season Marc Almond (now making a full recovery from his recent motorobike accident) delivered an unforgettable performance of old favourites. This time, On|Off operatic regular Evie will entertain alongside Readers Wifes (sic).

On Wednesday night, Moët & Chandon are sponsoring a tribute to Matthew Williamson, but if you want to see a designer really work the crowd, head over to Cuckoo Couture's Fashion Your Seatbelts night at Soho's Shadow Lounge on the same evening. Kim Jones will be playing tunes and welcoming punters who each will receive a Fashion Week keepsake - now that is defo worth the very reasonable door tax (£3 before 11pm with a flyer, £5 without and £3 for students).
