Thought id start a last gig thread as there are plenty of people on the board who do this sort of thing.
My last one was a while ago The Cribs in december.
Was pretty good, at leeds met, which is a really class venue.
Gig was excellent plenty of hot girls
8.5/10

Went to the Belle and Sebastian gig last night at Carling Academy, Newcastle. Loved it. First time I've seen them in a proper gig. Though I saw them in Glastonbury in 2004. I wished they sang more of my favourite songs...

Bloc Party @ Kokos In December -
8/10
Was good, they played a lot of b-sides, think im getting a bit bored of them now though.
Next gigs are Arctic Monkeys/Maximo Park/We are Scientists, followed by the Strokes.

and whitey boy,.. yes im in a long term project well several,. that will actually be barrier braking,....time scale.. im in no rush to release anything (if anything via mainstream labels),.we are talking to heights of meaning, the whole package,...every little detail taken into account,... they dont call it the arts for nothing. If i were to make money out of it that would be a bonus,... i could soOOoo fucking easily ring up several mates, and say ask them to make a mcfly rival band,.. we would smash the fuck out of them, as we know every corner you need to take to suck the c**t* nme readers in iits NOT HARD,.. and frankly its NOT CLEVER either,.. o wowww.. you have a bit of money,.. money does not buy you eternal credability, or even self pride i would kill my self before giving into such demonic values. I give no shit again id rather be begging on the street and you can quote me for a trillion years on that, as i feel my passion justifys it 10 fold.

Bilal @ The Jazz Cafe last Wednesday
8/10 - his voice was awesome, the band were tight as, all the soul crowd were out so there was a good atmosphere
only bad thing was he did go on for too long, not really his fault as I dont suppose he knows when the last trains run from Camden, but it was pushing it!
And another thing, I wasnt expecting them at a soul gig (they usually turn up at hip hop / grime shows) but you get them groups of white boys who are trying so desperatley hard to be black its just embarrasing. Shouting "brrrrup" after every song (!!?!!), visibly 'getting down' during the songs, smoking weed while making sure theyre in full view of everyone, its cringeworthy. Im sure there are some of them on here and they know who they are.

NME tour last night in leeds, Leeds Uni shit venue!!
Mystery Jets - Turned up late so missed em
We are scientists - pretty good, very short set, but pretty entertaining probs best of the night.
The Arctic Monkeys - Not bad, not great tho, over hyped really, and responsible for the high level of chavs in the crowd, short set, didnt play mardy bum which i was surprised about, sooooo many like oldish 30 - 40 year old chav blokes like in the crowd coming out covered in sweat, it just was wrong, leave it to the kids, yesss the kids.
Maximo Park - Good stuff, a lot of the crowd left after arctic monkeys, this was a good thing as nuff chav bats.
Afters, went to the faversham in leeds aka fav, not bad paul smith was supposed to be DJing but not sure if he did in the end or not, but he was there, really nice bloke, very humble, was wearing a shitty baseball cap and just strolling round, the other bands were in there just doin band stuff really, saw the arctic monkeys lead singer with some bird maybe his girlfriend, she wasnt that hot, the dad from the mystery jets was really struggling to get served at the bar and just looked totally out of place.
Overall for gig 5/10

Coldcut last night, not bad I suppose, free innit, so cant grumble. I got to 2 or 3 gigs aweek, but it's a work thing, so you get pretty blazay about them.
