Thanks for that. Do you know if there's any truth behind the rumours of them splitting up?
I love that Test Icicles but I can see it getting shat on big time, understandably. It's light hearted fun which is what test icicles are all about.

You prick.

I'm sorry, I should have realised a message board wasn't the place for an opinion.

Shut-up you woman.

I agree, but I could never really tell whether they were jokin or not, in a recent phone convo, sam said there will be no new album, he thinks all the songs are shit and his visas' running out soon, so he's gonna move to America and work in a Cafe!

They are know for chatting shit though..and he sounded a bit wasted so who knows..

They r shit, it was all a joke, the whole thing, they can sell records just by putting their picture in nme, they are that sort of band, if any of you cunts actually listened to the album and saw passed the nme reviews, you'd realise how shit they really are. Bunch of attention seekers, and thats just the fans.

I disagree. I never read NME nor do I pay attention to music hype (or lack of)..I'm not a music try hard and I don't follow the latest emerging band just because it's the cool thing to do. I'd heard spits and spats about test icicles and really got listening to them after getting the album from a friend. I liked what I heard and went to see them. That's as far as it goes for me.
Everyones tastes are different and I accept that many may think they're terrible musically, and that's fine, but to say they're over purely because of nme hype is unfair.

I thought their album was one of 2005's most energetic and exciting Debuts.

Better the testies than dull pop-monkey bands like Hard fi or the Kaisers.

If you look past the hoxton haircuts, technicolour clothing and nonchalant demeanours, you'll find a vibrant, intelligent album that at least sparks extreme emotions: you either love or hate them.

I say to each their own.

Next up: The Mystery Jets, cant wait! Laughing out loud

why would you want to look past those things, they are all part of what make them who they are, and the way they dress is a good reflection of the way they are as a band.

Looks like you just copy and pasted the whole thing out of the time music guide or something

I'm probably being really stupid, but I can no longer find the test icicles april gigs on gigsandtours.com or seetickets.com
I ordered tickets a few days ago and now the gigs seem to have vanished?

btw Image means a lot, but is not everything.

For instance boy kill boy look like Topman models gone wrong, but the musics great, should I avoid them cos of their poor image??
