i dont think they mean inches, it's continental sizing...44 is an XXLarge i think...?

36= small, 38= medium, 40= large, 42= xlarge, 44= xxlarge..

is that right?

Yoox trouser sizing is completely fucked, it annoys the hell out of me.
They confuse trouser and jacket sizing.
In European jacket sizing a 48 is a 38UK, so to get the Uk trouser size they take 10 off the Italian/European size. However this is not how it works. Basically a 44 on yoox is a European 54, which is a 38.
A European 54 *JACKET* would be a 44
I have complained before and I find it amazing they can't be fucked to correct it, especially as they do free returns, how much must it cost them?

Not a great deal, they'll have a set contractual agreement through their subcontractor in UPS. It also probably helps push sales, with the fact that returns are free...

They probably don't lose a lot on the returns thing but they must lose shitloads of sales.
If you know the "code sizing" Yoox are using you're OK but given hardly anyone who uses Yoox is going to want size 44 trousers then surely it would be cheaper to employ at least one person who can read to manage the sizing?
