It's just me fucking around on guitar with a couple of samples, but would be curious to know what you thought...(ignore the quality, the guitar parts were all done in one take without a metronome and had to do the percussion using the guitar... )

should be careful about posting your own songs on here, FUK is a very very tough crowd when it comes to reviewing music...

cheers relf...

that's the reason i'd post it though, cos people will say what they think and i'm more likely to get an objective opinion...it's not taken a massive amount of effort, and i won't take it personally, but i like it and was just curious to see what others think

Yeah great track mate, very movie soundtrack.
Not sure if thats what you wanted but i can see it in green state or something like that.

Its weirds, at somepoints I was thinking there was too much at the peak, but i am not sure now as it sort of added to it and made you appreciate the contrasts and meledy alot more.

Give us the tab ? Laughing out loud

Thanks...

Have one other i've done on my own, which is very melodramatic with a peter o'toole sample...a bit cringe-worthy really

and another proper lo-fi analogue recorded track with my mate, with a spanish sample...i really like it, but the quality's shit-poor

will put up if you want?

other songs are for my band, are more conventional and poppy, but should be doing recording over summer, so will ask for some more objective criticism then...

ha, yeah i wanted the noise-peak, just to structure it really...

and it's basically based around an A to D chord progression... figure the rest out for yourself Eye-wink

I am too much of a guitar noob to figure it out mate Laughing out loud
May give it ago this weekend if i get the old girl out as i keep promising myself.

Also its repeating on media player as i cant be arsed to swap it, must be the 4th time through now and happoy to listen to it again, good sign that Eye-wink you listen and pick up the other little high pitch riffs after a few listens.

yeah, there's about 10 tracks on there, some of them just noise, but about 5 guitar bits...had to do the bass on guitar too, so sound s a bit shit...but cheers, appreciate the feedback man...

here's the other two:

melodramatic O'toole one:

lo-fi 'la habitacion':

(quality's shit, you can hear me and my mate arguing at the beginning too, but features ukelele, glockenspiel, melody horn, guitar and bass, with spanish newsreader sample...)

Nice one Bromley, not too sure when it goes really loud about 2:40 in and then returns to normal... as there's a bit of distortion, but I'm guessing that's down to the recording? I still like it nonetheless Cool

yeah i agree, there's not much to it at the minute...was just exploring that melody and hook...will eventually become a proper song with verse/chorus structure, vocals, violin playing the lead guitar line and percussion, but won't be able to record that till summer...

you do your own stuff too? put it up, would like to hear it, if that's cool?

FFFFFFFFFFFHI "KL""!K!"K!""K!"K!!! wewwank! I wrote a reply then it made me log back in and I lost it! ARGGH!!

Anyways, naaah, was I just being a fool. Nice tunes , I really couldn't do any better at all. I play guitar, but can't write a damn thing! I know absolutely no theory. I might write a nice little melody then get stuck on where to go next or what to play over it. I suppose knowing what notes can be played over what chords, or what notes make up a chord etc is pretty useful, heheh! I found a decent once, Blind Summit I think it was, gave you lots of unusal chords and chord progressions. I should really try to learn some basics but it's just so much more fun to actually play!

When I'm in the mood for some slow, mellow tunes I listen to some Buckethead. A bit repetitive and probably longer than they need to be but you might like parts heheh!
