Any Mac headz who are fluent in InDesign CS2?

I have a job where i need to apply mucho Arabic, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Albanian... blah blah blah... text.
I have purchased the individual typefaces required but i still can't get them to appear correctly. Lots of special chracters are missing and glyphs dosen't contain whats missing. Arabic is being the biggest headache.

Anyone know of any free updates or downloads available to help me out.
I have been suplied all text elements required in word documents, but i just can't get them outa Word and reproduced into CS2.
What i don't understand is how word can contain all the Arabic text/characters/symbols required even tho i don't have the correct fonts. So why can't i get them into InDesign even tho i have the correct fonts.

Help.

So they're not showing in the Glyphs window at all?

You can add and delete languages on the mac (keyboard input I think) not sure if that might help?
