i've been going to Michael Wood (No One Famous tailoring) for alterations recently as he's just down the road from me in Leyton and stays open in the evenings so I can catch him after work. prices are good and i'm happy with the quality of his work, nice person too. i'd recommend him to any FUKers living in this part of London as a good alternative to the west end tailors. Contact details? (Tried Google...) I believe these are the details http://www.qype.co.uk/place/1448892-Tailoring-Alteration-and-Design-london. Called up Michael, will see him tomorrow during my lunch break for some suit alterations... |

Can't find any other alterations threads, so thought I'd ask in here. Has anyone ever had a long sleeve shirt turned into a short sleeve? |

Is it possible to lengthen a blazers sleeve length (theres some extra fabric under the cuff) without it showing/looking crap? |

Depends on the amount of lining in the sleeve as well. There's always some excess but it's to account for when you bend your arms. |

Same jacket as Mr Mazes in waywt OL japanese Bombed Blazer has about 2 inches under the fold of the cuff? |

^ should be fine then, but check the opening as some jackets add like a diagonal cut off to where the stiching meets. Harder to do if this is the case |

any one used Franco lately? need to get a winter jacket fixed up. No doubt on the quality of work but the finish on a bedford he did for me was awful. Almost tempted to go and see my local dry cleaner tailor who at lest finishes neatly |

'Twins' on d'arblay street has been reliable for me, even removed a red wine stain from a marl grey sweater yesterday. |
