Some are worth huge amounts , depending on how popular the artist is at the time . I dont think those Banksies are going to be a good long term investment - as much as I like some of his stuff .

Buy something because you love it not just because it might appreciate in value IMO

Yeah but if he dies young. The price will sky rocket.

edit. I'm not interested in Banksy stuff, I think its funny because of its political satire but not something I would want to own.

Temporarily maybe . Its well known that the art market has been spiralling out of control over the last few years , its going to implode sooner or later

Is that the art market in general or the YBA market?
The YBA market is just completely stupid imo

pollock didn't invent the drip technique, nor was he the first to use it in large scale compositions. as well this is not a drip painting. just his handstyles repeated throughout. you display a poor eye. there are no blots or splashes in this, neither do the lines make up webs or contain matrices.

Andy Warhol at the National Gallery of Scotland

To coincide with the 20th anniversary of Andy Warhol’s death, the National Gallery of Scotland is exhibiting the largest collection of the artist’s work ever seen north of the border.

^^Reminds me of Miró

'el bosco' was light years ahead of his time to come up with this in the 15th century. Just seen it for real in the prado, breathtaking. Interested in the flemish style of the 15th century currently.
