Post any 'heads up' info right in here for stuff that is going cheap.

DO NOT post live auction links - these can be posted in the ebay listings thread.

If you want to keep the info just for GJs, use diederik's handy site: dontlurk.me - the password is in the GJ section on your left.

New thread, old one archived here.

Hate to say it, but EVERS is right. The post office don't check or give a toss what you write on the customs declaration. I always put the value as £10 on the customs sticker and then insure it for whatever I like. Nobody has ever questioned it.

Bill has a point, but I'm guessing most of these little companies will use USPS and nobody will keep copies of documents etc

Wouldn't ever happen so pointless argument. Firstly an insurance premium for a $2m package would be at least $250k. And no one is going to offer you that using any ordinary public/private mail system. Just like you cant send expensive watches through airsure, ya dig?

Of course he wasnt being serious. He was saying that if you could mark customs value and insurance value differently then you could send trainers and mark em as a very expensive package. And I was saying that you can't send very expensive stuff through via normal mail anyway so it's a pointless argument.

Huge bargains at Monocle's offices. 70-80% off their collaborations and stuff from TRUNKs sale as well. Details online but I think it ends tomorrow.
