Somebody has made a mock up of an adaptor. If your dock is enclosed then it would cause an issue because of the added height, as you said, but I'm sure adapters will be made with those devices in mind. The headphone socket could provide stability, although the idea I had in mind would be an adaptor that cradles the bottom of the phone, for support

Surely the adapter will 'slot' over the current 30-pin connectors - meaning it's all down to however deep the connector pins go in to the new socket... probably just a few mils difference.

All these mock ups are funny. We will end up with the same 30 pin connector after all this silly rumour BS.

Great build quality on both, buttons feel but a bit cheap on the sound spheres but units themselves are good.
Only tested the dock and it sounds phenomenal! Will probably flog the sound spheres to cover the dock!

Retraction - The SoundSpheres sound much better! The dock goes louder but goes all crackly and distorted. The Spheres handle full volume with no distortion and the clarity is pretty amazing. Great deal at just over half price!
