Weekend club was really good although I was pretty gone. No trouble getting and was one of the best nights out I've had there. Although I havent been to Berghain which sounds awesome.

Looks cool, I think thats the place one of my fellow travelers went to last time and really enjoyed. Guess no tickets required in advance for these places/

Flying out to Berlin on Wednesday for a week, cannot fucking wait. Anyone know which of these squat things are the best to check out? Or even any that aren't even mentioned here:

this place is good..
something about 50 odd people playing round the table, table tennis.
proper dingy place with small sound system.
cheap beer and a good laugh.

Went to a club called 'Horst Kreuzberg' for a dubstep night it was mega. Quite small venue and out of the centre though.

Club Der Visionaire in Kreuzberg near Warschauer Strasse station and Bar 25 by Ostbahnhof tube station definitely get my recommendations, I didn't bother trying Berghain but I will next time.

you gotta try berghain.. just to see if you can get in.
i daren't not try to work out the door policy as no lie, i've seen girls who look like supermodels turned down at that place.. the walk of shame is so public too.

When I spoke to various Berliners they seemed to say different things about the door policy, at the end of the day it's pot luck.

Panoramabar is pretty epic, there's alot of hype about being turned away etc but never had a problem, just jeep quiet and well behaved in the line and you'll be fine going through...

I'm looking for a really nice hotel for early March, no ultra modern ones, a really over the top couture style one would be cool, like this one in Paris;

The Soho house has no rooms for when I want to go.

Im going in a few weeks. Which are the best districts to stay in for bars - restaurants - nightlife etc? Also any recommendations on accomodation - probably want an apartment (going for four days).
