which ones does everyone suggest then...?

I'm going to get some and the ones I've seen are so similar, I need a bit of input please people!

If possible, links to pages would be good where you can buy the trainers you recommend!

The Japanese MT580 colabs surely have to be the finest NB's.

576's are probably the ones I'd choose out of the ones that look similar (574's. 670's etc).
576's are the ones most popular with marathon runners, and also the only retro style that is still recognised by professional long distance runners.
Also, and this clinches it for me, a national army (Saudi I think) commissioned some 576 in black a few years ago for their soldiers to wear.

1500's fit slightly narrower than most models, BTW, and tend to be more expensive.

Defintely try the NB forum on Crooked Tongues, they're much friendlier than the Nike crew on there, and have been very helpful to me asking the same question.
In fact, if you do some searching on the NB forum, you'll find a similar question asked my someone on there a few months ago with some interesting answers (not including the one I gave you above).

I would also say gather all the information, then make up your own mind, even if it's against the grain of what the majority say.

When you've found out the model you like, its worth phoning up one of the factory shops (you'll get their numbers off the NB website) to see if they have your size/ model, and if so in which colourways.
