the place requires you to submit an application form, then have to pay £700 min for the pleasure of being allowed to spend further money on drinks/food in their bar (assuming your membership application is accepted).
can imagine it being full of self important types.

but, i guess it keeps the scum out, which is good - partially why i doubt i'll ever go Cry

It's cheaper if you get the membership before you're 27. Lot of dicks there but good for days like today, half price food and drink on Sunday after 6 and on Monday's is decent too. Plus it's got a gym and the pool etc. I never got around to joining but they let you sign guests

If you get the gym as part of the £40/60 quid a month then at least it isn't too bad. Still, a bit rich for me.

Best: went Grantchester (small village where jeffrey archer lives apparently) and swam in the river cam before walking to Cambridge along the river from there. Weather was great and loads of people enjoying the sun

Shoreditch House is ok but mainly full of crass self important types, the best nights there are when a particular area is rented out for an event/party or the bowling alley. Bungalow 8 was more fun!

Good luck Jordan!
