Sorry but i just need to have a bit of a rant about browns. I ordered some trainers and a tee from the nearly 2 weeks ago and after 8 days i had heard nothing so i gave them a call and they said both items have been out of stock for some time and i wont be charged for them. Anyway i got an email this morning saying that 1 item has been shipped. I dont want either of them now just because of them fucking about and i think they should give me the return postage ect.

Everyone on here seems to do ok from browns but ive had nothing but hassle the couple of times ive ordered. I really havent had any fucking look in the sales this year. Bastards

i agree, they are shit. i had to have 6 or 7 phone calls and an email before anyone sorted me out.

their excuse was "we're getting loads of orders, about 100 a day".

sort out your website, fire the unhelpful and rude shopworkers and employ some people who actually know what they are doing.

The thing what really pisses me off is both the things i ordered are still showing as availible on the website. And i dont care if its a sale or not im sure a shop such as browns should be able to cope with the orders they get.

Now i cant get throuh to anyone on the phone but im gonna kick up a right fuss about it, at least matches contacted me to see if i wanted to continue with my order when items were missing.

Shouldn't be used as an excuse imo. You know you're having a sale, you know the likely interest, then plan accordingly.

I bet you if you ask them what time of year they get the most aggy customers, complaints ect, they will say sale time, the people who spend the least doe there probably complain the most, go in there at any non sale time and i bet your service will be top notch, I guaruntee they are seriously fed up with people chasing sale orders and being agggggy when they are already snowed under..................................

still a lame excuse. you'd expect better from a top boutique like this. they should link the website and shop inventories and make sure that when an order goes through on the website that the item is removed from the shop floor.

Yeah, I can accept being snowed under, but surely it's just a matter of cost to set up a system that avoids any moaning about things being out of stock, even though the site shows they're available.

well i ordered some jeans from apc got an email telling me they where out of stock but two days later the items where still showing as available, i suspected that they where fobbing me off as i'd had some problems with my card at dior and had to do a bank transfer. so i asked my brother to pay with his card they arrived 2 days later! lazy cunts couldn't be arsed to tell me that the didn't accept visa debit cards, or that there was a problem with my card at all! so im gona order something off the new collection and see what happens!

They shouldn't have a sale if they don't like the money it brings in. If something is out of stock they should tell you. You shouldn't have to chase them. If you do chase them up they should respond (to emails for example). I mean if you went into a shop and asked somebody a question and they ignored you, what would you think? What if you phoned somebody up and asked them a question and they just hung up? That's what pisses me off, the way they just ignore you.

I ordered a couple of items from Matches and both ended up being out of stock, but at least I got a phone call to say the next day. That's more like it, even though they should have up to date stock on their site!

You have got to be fucking kidding, nearly the same thing has just happened from matches, they rang this morning to say 2 items were out of stock out of the 3 i ordered and would i like the other shipped i said no because it was the one i liked least anyway and wasnt really feeling it anymore. Now ive got an email saying that they have sent it out. fuck this online shopping lark.

You can't win with Browns. Normally its an ok service but you get ripped off and in the sales they have to check stock around all thier shops and its chaos.

I've never bought from Browns sales but Matches last year was really good. I got two gucci shirts for £60 each and subsequently sold them on ebay after I had got good use out them for more money.

I'm sorry but 100 orders a day isn't an excuse. We gave that 'your eyes lie' guy hell cos he wasn't prepared and he was just one guy. Browns is a well established shop. Shoddy imo.

i think its a case of 'you snooze you lose' even in sales, if you go in well late, there is a massive chance you aint gonna get served.

if its showing up olnine as available when it aint, and people are being told its not available, and its still showing as available then its unaccaptable. Its not a way to run a website. Change the thread title to iinclude browns full url and name.

Brown's are wack end of...When i ordered my item from Browns a few weeks back, i even rang up a few hours after to check it all went through ok, and that they actually had my item in stock. I was told yes, so i waited a week until i rung them again because i hadn't received any despatch note or anything. When i did ring again, the size they said they had in stock, wasn't anymore. I was told that the next size up was available, and did i want that one instead, which i said no to. A few hours afterwards i finally got an email about my original order. Unbelievably they got it wrong again, saying that the bigger size they had just offered me a few hours ago wasn't in stock, but the one i wanted in the first place was. After this i just gave up. Bunch of facking jokers, sale or no sale.

Shoddy. My items have been "out to press" since i ordered them (11/01) have had a bit of banter back and forth via email but still no confirmation of when they'll be back. Yet you can still order the same product on the website. When i ordered the jeans were listed as £130 they are now £210 so by my reckoning if anyone else orders they'll just deliver to them and reap the profits. Got offered free delivery on any other item i wanted but told em to stick it as that'd probably take just as long. 100 orders a day is no excuse.

This out to press thing is bullshit, stuff that has gone out to press is sample sale fodder and shouldn't be advertised on their website whether part of the sale or not
