Burning AVI files onto DVD

How's best to go about this?

I just use Nero (version 6 I think), it's simplest.

Windows 7 has the DVD maker software "built in", which is good, it does more professional looking title pages, but slow.

nero doesn't convert the avi files though does it?

vso convertx to dvd id the best I've used.

anyone know where I can get a version of vso convertx to dvd which won't leave 'trial version' marks all over the image?
