I think it's the right thing to do. Capello has to start with strong leadership. This shows that he's only going to pick players on merit. Once Beckham is back playing agan I'm sure he'll be in contention. Capello knows what he's got with Beckham after their time at Real. It's not the end of him for me. |

Next question is who's going to be his captain? On current merits it has to be Rio for me. Hargreaves in the future and Rooney after him. As an England fan I'd love to see Scholes back as he's different class. |

Maybe Richards in the future? |

Rio is the stand out choice at the mo for me. Only other is Gerrard maybe. I think Hargreaves is the type of player Capello likes as his captain. Rooney in the future because of his sheer will and desire he shows whenever he plays. Richards is a long way from being the finished article and to talk about him as a possible England captain is too premature for me. |

Captain has gotta be gerrard for me, I rate rio, just think hes a bit of a clown sometimes, although becoming the captain might be a good for him. |
