I always thought Kebab was a South thing. Always struggle to find an actual chippy in London, just kebab places doing god awfull fish n chips. |

Do many places do potato fritters down south? A roll & fritter is the ideal on the move chippy snack, when the butter melts in to the hot batter & roll it's fucking amazing. |

Na Carl it's a big fuck off slice of potato dipped in batter and deep fried. Honestly, the roll/batter/butter combo cannot be fucked with. |

Not sure what use this is but: Best Chips : Black Country's Orange Chips, pisses over everything. Local Terms: Pretty much only in Coventry will you find a chip batch (bap, barm, roll etc) FTW: Chips, mini fish and curry sauce in a tray. Best local chippy: Alfie Grimshaw |

We call them scollops. In Sheffield, thats a big thick slice of potato in batter, and a fish cake is two slices of potato with fish inbetween, in batter. |
