Here's one for everyone, do you wear your 'best' stuff on nights out?
With jackets, jeans and shirts/tops or whatever I will, there's not much that can go wrong with them. But I counted my shoes yesterday, out of about forty there's only seven or eight I'll wear out to a club because I don't want the others getting fucked. Some of my suede shoes/trainers only see light when I walk to the post office or whatever, it's ridiculous. Should get rid of them really.

Yep. Stuff inevitably gets marked but the marks usually come out and I stop being so worried about stuff getting ruined once it's a little worn in. Hate looking at my footwear the next day though.
I remember Noble saying something about saving stuff "for best" but that day never comes so you never end up wearing some of your nicest clothes, so I try to get plenty of wear out of my best gear these days

Those boxes that Kid has probably have severe HEAT in them rather than just run of the mill stuff too

I don't know what the fuck you do in UK clubs but in all my club goings in Australia and Japan my shoes have never been touched, stepped on or marked in any way.

I've been to many clubs in Australia. And I can report they are very much like British/european/ american and african clubs.
Your shoes get covered in shit.

certain things i wont wear to clubs.
i bought a pair of cheap boots + black leather vans purely as club beaters. anything footwear wise will get trashed completely, so theres no point.
wont wear anything white or cream either, as drinks just get all over it.
i definitely limit what i wear to clubs, except jeans
with me i wear all my 'best' stuff weekdays at work (no dress code) and weekend daytime, then normally put on cheaper stuff when its time to go out
bit backwards, but im really careful with things i own and like. plus its not easy to pick up past season pieces...

Makes perfect sense to me Jordan. I'm the opposite though, I have a work wardrobe and my 'good' stuff. My work clothes are all easily replaceable and I don't spend a lot on any of it, as it usually gets fucked up somehow (paint or glue usually- secondary school Art teacher) but my casual stuff is mainly more expensive and harder to replace if/ when it dies. It's stupid really as I spend a disproportionate amount on my casual stuff that gets worn much less through the week. And it's not as if I can even wear most of my casual stuff to work either as a lot of it's too casual (ironic considering a lot of it is workwear inspired/ rooted). I'm not much of a clubber anymore, so it also means I can wear my better stuff for going out.

Let's talk about me, I've probably been buying more work stuff than anything lately, since I had a job recently. Rediscovering my love for PRL, the quality is there and you can usually find the more classic cuts still within the brand unlike other brands. It's just hard to find shirts without the pony which I refuse to display. Van Heusen make a damn good full cut shirt anyway so. teamed up with my CDG belt game, roley, goro's bracelet and a couple of pairs of s/doubles (1 black, 1 brown) I'm really enjoying my work stuff recently.

usually wear the same beater vans and jeans to clubs, maybe with an oxford shirt if its a nice place (nice place = hasnt got an inch thick layer of black gunk on the floor). so i end up dressing completely differently when i go out, although if its only a chilled one then i'll wear my nicer stuff.

Little edit on the OG post.
Someone asked about the plain boxes? Those were from Muji tho not sure if they do them anymore?
Also, i do not consider myself a collector. I have a lot of items that i WEAR.
I think collectors are more people that keep stuff in original packaging and never use it nan kid style.
Chino audit - how the fuck did i get to nearly 20 pairs.
Agree on those that said saving stuff for best is pointless. Rock that shit (within reason, don't wear your light grey suede heatz to the student union disco).
