Hi,

Im trying to get a design created to get printed on a tshirt.

The original design is a small jpg, however I believe this will need to be converted to a vector graphic for printing & resizing.

The design is just a one colour symbol. What is the best program to use (photoshop, freehand, flash, fireworks) to do this conversion and how do you do it?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Ta

if its just a symbol with clean lines and a reasonable size, go to

image>mode>grayscale>bitmap>output(high as poss id recommend 1200dpi>method(use 50% threshold)

illustrator cs2 has a thing called live trace which traces rasters, or you can use another prog called silhouette. both of them can be a bit strange though so i'd do what mase suggested and then run either of those on it to vectorise it so you dont have to worry about resizing
