Fascist!

if a normal (non spam etc) thread is deleted, could a reason be given?

have you ever had a thread deleted before?
i NEVER delete threads unless they are pure spam, brad sorts out the ones he deems as porn....i cant speak for anyone else, but need a bit more to go on than this mate, and they might be able to explain. You do realise that any 'thread starter' can delete their own threads, no matter how many replies they have, and that way you would never get an explanation cos the reaon they delete them, is usually cos they got rinsed.

Unless its spam or naughty people in the classifieds i never delete them. Even if i do i PM the person who made the thread to tell em.

i just thought it was a bit weird that she deleted it because it made her look a bit stupid.. could have just left it and it would have soon disappeared off the front page and pretty much been forgotten..

any fuk user can do that tho if they started the thread, which is a bad thing imo...someone can start a thread, really kill themselves for 10 pages, and then just nuke all evidence and memories of their lies etc. Cry

with the current software, we can allow/disallow the ability to 'edit own forum topics', it's not separated out into edit and delete.

ie. if I disallow, this would mean registered users couldn't delete their own threads, but they couldn't edit them either

I could allow editing for elite, but not regular users, but then that wouldn't have effected the 2 examples above

this may all change in the software update planned for next month

i deleted it (after posting twice within the thread that i'd delete it if it didn't 'take') due to extreme moaning, of the wrong kind Laughing out loud

was a waste thread, as pointed out, so it went.

hhhm, am i really having to explain myself here?
