Need some for my room at uni because macbook speakers are pathetic. What are the best ones, in terms of sound quality and looks, preferably without a subwoofer (don't have much room)

I have these jbl's the sound quality is great they look fucking lush and the volume control is touch sensitive, and theyre not that big.

p.s not sure if you know but the 2 little speakers have a little lime green light underneath, nice effect for when its dark.

On the subect of audio, does any one know of a good in ear headphones for using with an ipod. I used to have a pair Sennheiser mx500 but ive lost them.

when i was at music college the guys from B&W brought in a cochlea (or was it shell?) speaker and someone poked their finger into the center cone,,think it was like a £50,000 speaker or something!
