got my monies all back, paypal just refunded and will try and claw it back (almost 2k on 2 bad deals) Both with immaculate feedback, 1 highjacked account, and another guy, member on ebay for years, loads of recent feedback, but decided to do a scam. You cant rely on perfect feedback and a long history on ebay. The best scammers rely on perfect feedback and price their items just cheap enough/expensive enough to make it believable. Just glad i got my monies. Wonder if paypal will get it back. |

You're seriously complaining that you're not allowed to keyword spam the title?! |

I don't know much about how eBay/Paypal disputes work, so apologies if this is a stupid question. My girlfriend bought an iPhone 4 off eBay, it was listed as used but 'as new', seller had perfect feedback etc. Got the phone and it's in shit condition, scratches on the metal around the edge, volume down button doesn't work, screws on the bottom of the phone are missing and the back has been replaced badly (shifted up slightly and also bowing away from the metal along the top edge). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-iPhone-4-16GB-Black-O2-Smartphone-/250939364219#ht_889wt_1173 this was the auction. She can get her money back right? And was there anything in the auction that would have put people off buying this phone? |

says right at the top mate. Item condition: Used also its a 6 month old phone, never going to be pristine. does include the word new 6 times in it though. bring it up with the seller first, send him a message and I'm sure he will accept the phone back with a refund. If not then go through paypal and eBay and they usually favour in the buyer rather than the seller. |

Yeah I know it was listed as used, but it's not really just wear and tear, a button doesn't work, screws are missing etc. Will get her to send him a message then, thanks. |

I sold an item the buyer later messaged me to tell me was a sample (i wasnt aware it was). double checked it before sending and remember thinking the quality of it was really good. *****Details the buyer provided: Additional information: the cunts lied in the reason for the dispute and generally about the condition, also he must be thick cos if it is a sample(of the quality it is) it must be atleast gold seal so the same or better than the production version. am i screwed/anything i can do? |

How does he know it's a sample? And is he in the UK? Anyway, PayPal will say he can return the item and will receive a refund when he provides proof of return. I would message the guy on eBay saying you will refund him once he returns it. Hopefully he'll do that because you risk being scammed if PayPal tell him to return it and he returns an empty box, which you sign for. |

Quick question... I sent a payment, made up partially from Paypal balance and the rest funded by my bank account. The payment has now been refunded, with the Paypal funds going straight back to my Paypal balance and the bank funds getting placed on temporary hold. When the bank funds are released will they automatically go back into my bank or return to my Paypal balance? |

Joe, keep on phoning eBay's helpline saying he' lying through his teeth. I did that when I sold a new pair of Grensons, the buyer said they were used (they weren't) and wanted a refund. I kept mithering eBay saying he's taking ages to send them back and I know he'll have just worn them and changed his mind. And if he's wearing them before he sends them back then there's no way I can sell them on again as new. They agreed and when he sent them back, eBay refunded him for me. |

Paypal users. For those who haven't done so already and want an extra bit of security this is worth signing up to: https://www.paypal-marketing.co.uk/safetyadvice/SecurityKey.htm It is a little bit more hassle when logging in, but should reduce the risk of someone rinsing your account if they know your email and password. |

robii- he's in the uk and saying it's missing a wash tag-apparently this is important for his reference, Fucking sad wanker. How the fuck are you even supposed to know if something is a sample or not when you list it on eBay? It's an item of clothing for god's sake. The OCD weirdo should have asked for pics before bidding |
