Thanks guys.

Someone has just offered me £310 through message for a Gucci Beanie and Gucci Scarf (which i originally bought for £300 but now RRP at £325) he has 0% feedback though. Is there any way i can receive the payment off him and send him the items without him doing some 0% feedback ninja move and get the items and keep his money?
Also the auction ends on Sunday 7PM so i don't have long to do the dealings.

Thanks

EDIT: bump, does anyone know? need fairly urgent response please

if not i wouldnt sell to them.

is a bank transfer safer than a PayPal payment. Once he's made the payment on PayPal and i have the money what can happen that could result in me losing the item and the money? if i use recorded delivery etc.
It would be a 2 hour drive to go to him

and thanks for replying and helping India

bank transfer is safer than paypal.

i dont understand how they do the scams with paypal but they do and i wouldnt sell to people without any feedback.

cant he meet you halfway?

as soon as you suggest meeting or any other method of paying he might come up with a stupid excuse as to why he cant anyway.

Bank transfer is 100% better/safer than Paypal.

Paypal payments are vulnerable to claims/disputes. If they pay by 'gift' then they can't do a claim/dispite but can still do a chargeback if their payment was funded by a credit card.

Okay thanks alot guys.

Going to try and do it through bank transfer or pick up, otherwise il just let the listings run on as usual.

Never done a bank transfer before is it a tricky procedure or quite straight forward?

Thanks

Make sure he doesn't beat the shit out of you and steal your stuff though. Paypal scam IRL.

Bank transfers can be reversed, tell him/her to withdraw the cash and deposit it into your account.

Piece of piss, unless the guy's a tard.

You'll need to give him your name, bank name, account number and sort code. He does the rest, either in-branch or using online banking if he's got it.

Obviously, like with a cheque, wait for the transfer to clear into your account to guard against reversal/cancellation.

Why is he offering you 300 quid when it's only at £77 with 2 days to go?

I'd be very surprised if it wasn't a scam of some kind.

Just to update everyone. I didn't go with the £310, it was defiantly a scam, he sent me the £310 and put it in my PayPal account even when i asked him not to.
I was just thinking though, for him it must be dangerous scamming people over the internet when you have to give them your address to post the stuff to?

And thanks for the SCAM SCAM SCAM alerts!

If his payment was funded by a credit card then he can do a chargeback.

If he sent the money in any way other than 'gift/personal payment' then he can open a claim and dispute on the transaction.
