is it possible to amend a listing title once youve already had a bid ? (thought we could do with a dedicated ebay thread, ill delete if people disagree {once my questions answered anyway })

Fucking hate customs charges, but anything over about £16 can get charges I think.

Anyone any experience of arranging to have something shipped from the US to here, from here? Wanna a buy a something and the guy is quoting me like $200 to ship it without insurance, told him it's too much. I can ship the same package from here to there for £35 and he's getting prices he's got 3 prices from UPS/FEDEX/DHL all around 200 dollars. So, I did a quote setting the collection address as his address in the US and the price is only £40....seems simple but is there anything else I should be aware of doing it this backwards way?

im having a problem lately with shipping quotes from US, guy just last week quoted me $300 on a £100 pair of trainers, makes no sense as if they think we are going to pay it, constantly arguing but tend to get the figure down to $30-$50 for pretty much all clothes and footwear.
i would just argue with him and make him drop the charge and send him links of the prices you have found etc, but dont book the delivery and that yourself as i can imagine there might be some complications/someway he will stitch you up

Already done that and showed him quotes of how much it costs me to send the same parcel. Don't they have cheap parcel sites in the US like we do?

Probably been covered before, but some butt nugget ain't paying up for an item I've just sold. Don't mind waiting (a bit) for payment, but at least let me know. Sent a couple of messages, but it's been over a week (he put his bid in bout 10 mins from the end of auction) and I've not heard nothing. Can I just re-list item and what about my sellers fees etc?

So an item I paid for was not genuine, its not a total write off but the fact he tried to pull one over me pisses me off. He didn't send it tracked so do I act like a cunt and say it never arrived, or suck it up and accept the loss.

Just had my first ever listing cancelled by ebay for brand name misuse in the listing title. Day before it was due to finish.
Do people get away with it nowadays by putting not or like etc etc?

Had more cancelled this year for key word spamming than any other year.

I have three other things selling for tomorrow all with keyword spamming, hope they don't notice them for now.

Open an Unpaid Item Case through Ebay. You get your fees repaid

synth arrived yesterday and it wasn't in the condition like the seller said. The outputs were faulty and needed rewiring and one of the knobs fell off during transit.
I made a claim however, I just want the costs of repairing it which I stated, the seller hasn't responded but what is the process with paypal for something like this. As ince the investigation ends do I get the refund or do I have to send the bass back which I don't want to after all the trouble?
EDIT:
Just received a reply from Paypal asking me to send the synth back for a refund.
Not only is that acceptable since I paid for the costs already to get it fixed and losing out, it means I also have to fork to send it back.
Can anyone please advise what I should do since the seller is ignoring my messages explaining the situation.

Send an empty letter via International Signed For addressed to the seller, and pass the tracking number to Paypal.

It would be easier explaining something like that over the phone so give Paypal a ring. They are usually really helpful when you call, as opposed to emailing (which resulted in 'stock' responses in my experience).
Lesson learned though - never undertake your own repairs first before attempting a resolution, as Paypal will often advise to return for refund if the seller disputes your claim (which they probably have done, but with Paypal as opposed to dealing with your messages directly).

Well it was my first port of call and weren't really helpful at all, the response was they have to follow the rules.
Tried contact the seller but he's blanketing me now.

Special Delivery then. Thought it was related to your US import.

Sorry, that was another issue altogether. Thankful for the help but would I land in trouble with Paypal for pulling something like this?.
