just had this, it had no link or anything so i don't think its a phishing email, but i logged in to paypal seperately and i don't have any credit or debit card that ends in that number Puzzled but i have 2 in there that haven't expired.... anyone had anything like this?

Dear Luke Hartley,

Because it has expired, your credit card ending in 4644 has been removed from your PayPal account.

If this was the only credit card on your PayPal account, you will need to add a new card to continue sending instant PayPal payments.

To add a new credit card:

1. Log in to your PayPal account
2. Go to the Profile subtab
3. Click on the 'Credit Cards' link in the Financial Information column
4. Click 'Add'
5. Enter your credit card information
6. Click 'Save'

Thank you for using PayPal!

What was the subject of the mail?
And what was the sender address?

Run a search in Google for those, should find any other examples, i.e. show if it's dodgy...

If you have other valid cards on there, perhaps just ask Paypal what the hell they think they're doing! Smiling

Did you buy something on behalf of a mate at any point?

I did it once, a mate wanted to buy 48 cans of mountain dew or something so i added his card and bought it through my account cos he didn't have one - only thing is I made it my default card by misatake and ended up buying about £300 quid worth of clothes with it :/

£300 pounds of threads, and 48 cans of Dew!
Cool Smiling

Re. the PP mail, I would ignore it.
It's pretty irrelevant if you still have valid cards!

I have had that before, but it was a real email. Though I had another card on file, so everything was fine and dandy

I had that email, but my card had expired, I added another via www.paypal.com

It does actually tell you to log into paypal first, it doesn't give you an address to use.
