For anything work related... a thread to answer questions about employment.

- Seek advice and ask about work or post information about potential job opportunities that you think might be of interest to other Fukers.
- For work dilemmas and queries or just general chatter.

There's always a great deal of talk spread across threads regarding employment and work - (Universities, Teaching English).
What with many of you being workers: use your knowledge to field those questions and help each other out.

kinda tempted to completely start fresh in a different career like marketing, but at 24 being an office junior again aint good, and they'll probably rather hire someone younger for that position anyway.

Maybe pm Farrell, he's a similar age and he recently changed career directions, i think?

and on that age thing i just found out my manager is younger than me, just. That felt a bit odd, but she's been in this like 2 years and is very good at it and a hard worker, i spent time in engineering and sales and have a masters. feels a bit like a waste of my time now, but i don't really care. I'll rise like cream soon enough

has anyone worked for Hays and used an umbrella company? i can do some work for them either on PAYE or through an umbrella company and maybe gain enough tax advantages to outweight the fees... not sure which is the best way to go.
