Drop all those too old for 2014 World Cup and try to have a good tournament (quarter finals?) in Euro 2012. Lampard and Terry being out for these first two games can only be a good thing for looking forward.

Got to play Walcott, A Johnson, A. Young, Hart, Dawson and Lescott at the minute. Upfront would like to see Zamora and Bent with Crouch on the bench.

Barton is scum but deserves a look in if you ask me.

I reckon the French can beat Spain, however erratic they are.

England v Italy is a guaranteed 0-0 borefest. Prepare for more penalty heartache.

What was the bet?

England played ok again. We're not trying to play possession football so saying we're shit cus we don't dominate possession is stupid. England sit deep, look to break up play then get the ball into attacking positions as quickly as possible.

Terry was immense again.

I agree it is almost refreshing to see a England side admit we are not good enough on the ball to control a game so come and break us down.

If England reach the Semis it will be a successful tournament.

I think it's already been a successful tournament for England. With expectations so low I'm really pleased with D/W/W and finishing top of a difficult group.

There's a real unrequited hate thing going on with England and Ireland, where football's concerned. I don't think anyone in England would care enough to rub it in Ireland's collective face should they get any further in the competition.

The former champions Greece? Eye-wink

I watched a bit of their last game. They looked good defensively and on the break. Samaras was walking past defenders. Would love them to upset Germany's stroll to the final. Stranger things have happened.
