Definitely, from around 1999 to 2004 were evisus glory days. Own a good few pairs of denim from that era they were such a nicer quality jean than the more recent ranges

i only had you down in my minds eye as about 20 mr88 cos of the supreme obsession.
oh and evisu was the bollocks, dare i say it but to me it was the label that started the japanese selvedge denim obsession everyone has now.
i still rock the jeans cos of the history and i dont care if anyone thinks they are naff on me, love them gulls, best trademark on jeans ever imho.

Got one pair of slim evisu jeans that were a collaboration with oki-ni
My first ever selvedge denim and really set it off for me - still will buy a pair but it has to look really good unlike the crap they have now

Young of mind, young of heart. One must have a childlike appetite for life.

Also, evisu were the jeans of my teenage years so will always be the shit too me!
I have a pair of jeans that must be ten years old, worn from raw and are so battered. There past the epic fadez stage and are just "beat"! If I wore them now they would literally just fall apart, I'll get some pics up later when I'm home.

Got my first pair at 15, blue gulls, fucking amazing. My first real step in to the fashin world at the time. Saying that, they were teamed with Stone Island jacket and AM 95's, haha.
Also, Noble is right, best pocket signature ever.

Remember going in the Duffer store picking up as many pairs as I could afford even had a pair the staff had written 'so solid crew' on the tag
Also remember going into the shop in Islington that did loads of denim and stuff and seeing the gold ones bout £2.5k iirc. Probably the first brand I was fascinated by and like Noble said best pocket logo ever.

Remember copping my first pair at Gilmores in Glasgow, think they were the only stockists at the time('99), were proper fanny magnets.

Were they the pair with the floral silk pattern on the gulls?

Got mine at American Retro (are they still about?) in Covent garden back in the day... 150 a pair. Remember walking out of that place feeling I got rinsed until I wore them a few times I realised how amazing the denim was.

If anyone wants these for free (GJ's only) smash me a PM, there a 32-32 but the waist fits a little bigger. Would love to see someone rock these again. The gulls have 98% disappeared

Best mate from Uni has been head designer for about 4-5 years. Think they are having a bit of a shake up at the moment... revival could be on the cards.
